Aminata and Sons, Inc. is a private Liberian owned company involved in the importation, distribution and sales of petroleum products on the Liberian market.
The company was established in 1984 as a petroleum retailer by Mr. Siaka A. Toure, the former President and CEO who now serves as the Chairman of our Board of Directors, in keeping with the dream of Liberians building their economy. The company later expanded its scope of operations to the importation of petroleum products when the Government of Liberia invited private firms to participate in the importation of petroleum products on the Liberian market and has since performed efficiently as Liberia’s No. 1 Liberian Petroleum Importer.
Aminata and Sons, Inc. has operated seasonally, as a result of the Liberian Civil War, for a period spanning over 3 decades. Our experience over this period has proven the advantages of dealing with a reliable local petroleum products importer, distributor and sales agent. We are in tune with the dynamics of importation, distribution and sales of petroleum and related products on the Liberian market. Our company caters to the petroleum products needs of private individuals, government agencies, non-governmental agencies, multi-national firms and other companies in Liberia.
Over the years, Aminata and Sons Inc. has adequately proven its reliability in the petroleum industry in Liberia. We currently maintain our importation license from the Liberian Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) and remain one of the largest importers of petroleum products on the Liberian market; contributing to 17% of the total imports in 2015.
The company was further awarded “Second Highest Importer” for 2013 and 2014 by the Liberian Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC), the regulatory body of petroleum importation in the country.
The company was also certificated as the “Highest Local Distributor”, an award also given by the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) in December, 2015.

Also, our management team comprises of a mix of highly qualified and dedicated professionals in relevant disciplines of the company’s activities
Peculiar features associated with Aminata and Sons Inc.’s efficient management system include an external accounting system which incorporates external accounting firms for adequate auditing and system analysis and also the maintenance of a Corporate Legal Section for hands on legal guidance.
The company’s growth has been driven by a strong distribution channel working with Liberians and continuous expansion through the establishment and upgrading of service stations.

The company has also employed a customer retention strategy for all its major bulk diesel customers through the introduction of modern filtration and tank cleaning services working with Algae-X International. This has greatly impacted our growth in the sale of diesel products as our clients enjoy the long term benefits of powering their machines with high quality and clean petroleum products.
We maintain a core management team of fifty-nine (59) individuals and have a network which has employed more than three hundred (300) Liberians. These individuals are employed by sub-dealers mainly at our distribution companies and at Aminata and Sons Inc. filling stations across Liberia.
